Remove Third-Party Antivirus Software

This guide will help you disable popular third-party antivirus software. Disabling your antivirus may be necessary if it is causing issues with certain applications or installations.

Removing Your Antivirus #

1. Open the Control Panel.
2. Go to “Programs and Features.”
3. Find “Your Antivirus” in the list of installed programs.
4. Click “Uninstall” and follow the prompts to remove Avast.
5. Restart your computer.

Disabling Avast Antivirus #

1. Open Avast Antivirus from the system tray or Start menu.
2. Go to “Settings” and then “Protection.”
3. Click on “Core Shields.”

3. Click on “Open” under “Advanced Threat Defense.”
4. Toggle off the switch for “Advanced Threat Defense.”

Disabling Kaspersky Antivirus #

1. Open Kaspersky Antivirus from the system tray or Start menu.
2. Go to “Settings” and then “Protection.”
3. Toggle off the switch for “File Anti-Virus” and other protection modules.
4. Confirm by clicking “OK” or “Yes.”
